Its only real drawback is that it doesn't offer the same degree of customization like some of the other bean to cups we've tested. It comes with a 15 bar pump, rather than the common 19 bar which isn't as effective for making high-quality espressos. But other than that it's a fantastic machine to make coffee for those who prefer their coffee strong and black. Its most unique feature may be that it can now be controlled by your smartphone using the Melitta Connect App. This allows you to change the settings and dispense various coffee recipes stored inside the machine. This makes the machine adaptable and flexible to your personal preferences. There are many ways to alter the strength of your beverage, cup sizes and even whether you want milk added. The machine comes with two airtight containers of beans that are automatically selected to accommodate different tastes.
